Spiked collars are probably Animal Jam's most famous rare item, everyone wants one, and many have one.

These items come in blue, red, black, yellow, green, purple, orange, and pink variants.

Distinguishing Feature(s):

These spikes always have 8 long spikes coming out of them, and have the RARE tag.

Rarity of Each Color:

Value of these items varies on each person (as with all items). However, most agree that orange is the least valuable, and black is the most valuable.

1. White and Red Tail Armor = Red Long
2. Black- 2 good longs and 2 bad longs, or 6 bad longs. 
3. Red- Is a bit debated but mainly pink and yellow longs and add.Purple- Any two bad longs(no orange and orange though).
4. Blue- Yellow long set and add good(2 or 3 den betas).
5. Yellow- Pink, green, or orange and add, or two good short collars(red, blue or purple shorts).
6. Pink- Green or green and add, or a good short and a bad or decent short(Example:Red and pink)
7. Green- Orange and add or two decent shorts(pink and yellow).
8. Orange- A decent and a bad short collar(Yellow and green) 
9. Blue Long < Founders Hat
10. Black longs are worth four long collars, or 64 den betas**

**: There are more den betas than just these items.

Trivia and Cool Side Info:

• For those who are very rare, spikes are like a base rare currency.
• On the flip side, those without spikes or only one or two can feel that spikes are much more than a base.
• They were the 2nd monthly member gift along with Short Spiked Collars, Long Spiked Wristbands, and Short Spiked Wristbands.
